Bayern go big to add to their French connection

A slightly quieter week transfer wise in the Bundesliga, most likely due to the fact the Confederations Cup has started. Nevertheless, there has been some transfer activity with Bayern splashing the cash.

Corentin Tolisso joins the Bavarian’s on a 5 year deal and it is believed that Lyon will receive around €30m. Tolisso is an excellent hot prospect and at 22 years old, he will most likely have the best years ahead of him; even more so in a red shirt. Unless Bayern keep spending, it’s looking like Tolisso will be the club’s most expensive signing. It’s also looking like Ancelotti is more than happy to buy the hottest young talent around  rather than produce it through the academy; something the fans don’t seem to happy about.

Hoffenheim have added another to the squad, this time its Justin Hoogma who comes in from Dutch side Heracles. There seems to be a fair amount of talk about this young man, so it will be interesting to see what he can do for Julian Nagelsmann.

Rumours surrounding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seem to have quietened down and for Dortmund fans that’s probably the best news they could have asked for. Auba’s goals were invaluable last season and will be vital in BVB’s progression. Even though the club have started to look at back up plans if the worst was to happen. The closer we get to the September the more confident BVB fans can be that he will be wearing a yellow shirt next season.

Hertha Berlin mean business as they add to their squad with Karim Rekik joining from French side Marseille. Adding to their defence, probably not the Brooks replacement that fans wanted but who knows what else could happen over the summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt have made two signings in a week with  Carlos Salcedo coming in from Mexican side Guadalajara. Jan Zimmerman also signs for the club from recently relegated 1860 Munich, who have seen themselves drop down the leagues in a ghastly fashion.

Wolfsburg continue with their intent to improve on last years disastrous campaign with the statement of signing John Brooks, the club continued to  make signings with two more fresh faces. William comes in from Internacional and Landry Dimata arrives from Oostende.

With all eyes on the Confederations Cup right now and Germany looking pretty good, I expect a few quiet weeks until it finishes. Before we know it, it will be 5th August and it will be the Supercup.
